Tidal Wave: Poker News 9/15-9/20

Johnny Kahuna yelled "Cowabunga" as the Dolphins won again weekend, but woke up with "Tidal Wave" of poker news he knew he had to deliver, even with a rum infused hangover.

  • The 'Bomber aka "Unabomber" Phil Laak won his 1st bracelet by winning the WSOPE 6 Max NL Tournament and $297k
  • "Ziigmund" destroyed Brian Hastings and Cole South on Full Tilt Poker, placing his online winnings this year to $1.5 million
  • Spade Club shut it's doors and redirected all members to Zen Gaming, another membership site
  • The WPT Borgata Poker Open culminated to the Championship Event on 9/18 day 5.
  • PokerStars Online Team member "Donald" Anders Berg won his 2nd WCOOP bracelet
  • "Durrrr" Tom Dwan lost $160k to "AAROOKIE" and is currently still losing his very own "durrrr challenge" to "JungleMan12" to the tune of $700k
  • "Sbrugby" Brian Hastings lost $200+k 
  • Phil Ivey won a mere $52k at the Full Tilt Poker tables along with some other notable pro's, Patrik Antonius won $83k and Gus Hansen took home a $36k profit.  They're all focusing on the WSOPE events more than likely
