PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier said today via Twitter that he does not use a poker tracking software such as Holdem Manager. Holdem Manager is as you probably know a poker tracking software that is used by many online poker players. (Poker Tracker is another name brand and is very good too.) In the near future we will be posting graphs from resident Cowabunga Poker Pro Johnny Kahuna's Holdem Manager. This software is used to import your hand history from a poker site that you play on and is much like having a "replay" button for every hand you were in. (it is not to be used for data mining, most sites have fixed this problem anyway)
Holdem Manager also allows you to see stats on other players that you might not typically remember. Such as how often a player limps in the pot, how often do they 3 bet pre-flop or do they fold to 3 bets etc... These are stats that you yourself could keep up with if you could write down at about a million times per hour. Programs like this come in very handy for looking at your game play and fixing any leaks you may have in your game.
